New Halayeb Granite Overview
New Halayeb Granite from Grand Granite
New Halayeb Granite, also known as Bianco Halayeb or Halayeb White Granite, is a premium natural stone quarried from the Halayeb triangle in the southern Red Sea region between Egypt and Sudan, and supplied by Grand Granite. This exquisite granite is characterized by its elegant light gray to white base, adorned with fine black, gray, and white speckles or subtle veining, formed by minerals such as quartz, feldspar, and mica. Its fine to medium-grained texture and sophisticated, neutral color palette, reminiscent of a starry night sky, make it a versatile choice for both contemporary and classic design styles.
Renowned for its exceptional durability, New Halayeb Granite boasts a compressive strength of approximately 26,100 psi, a flexural strength of 2,300 psi, a modulus of rupture of 2,500 psi, and a low water absorption rate of 0.28%. With an abrasion resistance hardness of 48.6 Ha and a density of 2,659 kg/m³, it is highly resistant to scratches, stains, heat, and weathering, making it ideal for high-traffic areas and diverse applications. These include kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring, wall cladding, stairs, fireplaces, window sills, mosaics, fountains, and outdoor features like patios, garden pathways, and pool surrounds. Available finishes include polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, and tumbled, catering to various aesthetic and functional needs.
Grand Granite offers New Halayeb Granite in blocks, slabs (18–100 mm thick, typically 265–300 cm x 40–105 cm), tiles (up to 200 mm thick by order), and custom-cut sizes, suitable for residential and commercial projects. Its unique patterns and durability, rooted in Egypt’s rich geological history from the Precambrian period, ensure a timeless, luxurious appeal. The stone requires minimal maintenance—regular cleaning with mild soap and water, with periodic sealing recommended to enhance stain resistance. For pricing and project-specific inquiries, Grand Granite recommends direct consultation, as costs vary based on size, finish, and market conditions. Their commitment to quality and sustainable quarrying ensures a product that meets international standards, delivering both elegance and long-lasting performance.
