Gandola Granite Overview
Gandola Granite from Grand Granite
Gandola Granite, also known as Gandola Egyptian Granite, is a premium natural stone quarried from the Aswan region of Egypt and supplied by Grand Granite. This distinctive granite is characterized by its deep gray to black base, accented with unique rose, white, and gray speckles formed by minerals such as quartz, feldspar, and mica. The fine to medium-grained texture and harmonious contrast between the dark background and colorful speckles create a sophisticated and modern aesthetic, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Renowned for its exceptional durability, Gandola Granite boasts a compressive strength of approximately 21,500 psi, a flexural strength of 2,400 psi, a modulus of rupture of 2,300 psi, an abrasion resistance hardness of 45.5 Ha, a density of 2,634 kg/m³, and a low water absorption rate of 0.09%. Its resistance to scratches, stains, heat, and weathering makes it suitable for high-traffic areas and demanding applications, including kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring, wall cladding, stairs, outdoor paving, monuments, and mosaics. Available finishes include polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, and saw-cut, catering to diverse design preferences.
Grand Granite offers Gandola Granite in blocks, slabs (265–300 cm x 40–105 cm, 18–100 mm thick), tiles (up to 200 mm thick by order), and custom-cut sizes, suitable for residential and commercial projects. Its low-maintenance nature requires only periodic sealing and regular cleaning with mild soap and water to preserve its stunning appearance. For pricing and project-specific inquiries, Grand Granite recommends direct consultation, as costs vary based on size, finish, and market conditions. Their commitment to quality and sustainable sourcing ensures a product that meets international standards, delivering both elegance and long-lasting performance.
